The three elements of a Dry Mount

Mounting substrate

The mounting substrate sits behind your print, providing structure and support. Four materials are available:

  • Styrene,
  • PhotoBond Alu,
  • HardBond HDF,
  • Foamboard.

Each offer different thicknesses, back colours, edge profiles, and hanging options.

Print surface

The image surface determines the look and finish of your photograph. Five options are available:

  • Lustre photographic paper
  • Glossy photographic paper
  • Metal Pearl photographic paper
  • Metal Print
  • Acrylic Print

Metal Print and Acrylic Print offer a striking, contemporary presentation.

Hanging

Dry Mounts can be displayed on the wall using five different hanging solutions:

  • Base hooks
  • Adhesive tabs
  • Magnetic hooks
  • Metal cylinders
  • Aluminum hanging rail

Available hanging options depend on the selected mounting substrate.

Mounting Substrates

Styrene

The most versatile choice.

Styrene is a rigid plastic substrate with a smooth surface that provides stable support for prints while keeping the overall thickness to a minimum.

It offers the widest range of image surfaces and hanging options and is compatible with Acrylic Print and Metal Print surfaces.

Lustre Photo Paper

A photographic paper with a fine texture and controlled reflections. Its balanced surface suits portraits, weddings and everyday professional work.
