Andy Marcus << Back
Andy Marcus began working with his father at age of 13. Little by little, he learned the techniques and nuances that made his father one of the most respected photographers in the industry. Andy proceeded to build his own name by photographing the next generation of families, including the weddings of Donald Trump, Judge Judy Sheindlin, Mary Tyler Moore, Eddie Murphy, Billy Baldwin and Howard Stern among many others.
Andy's work has been published in American Photo Magazine, Photo District News, modern Bride and Eelegant Bride, as well as featured stories in the New York Times and Newsday. One of the highlights of Andy's career was being asked to exhibit at the prestigious Leica Gallery in Manhattan and sister gallery in Tokyo.
Andy earned his Master of Photography and Craftsman Photographer degrees from the Professional Photographers of America. He is frequent speaker for the PPA, as well as Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). In 2007 Andy was named a Canon Explorer of Light, an honor bestowed to less than 80 photographers in the world.
The industry’s top priority should be stopping photographers from giving their work away.
I think the whole shoot and burn mentality that is pervasive out in the marketplace is degrading the quality of the work people are getting and certainly not letting families get the best possible end product
